The Details:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director who will be tasked with evaluating, designing, and coordinating A to Z technology solutions for our clients (partners). This position will be responsible to meet with partners (or potential partners), provide quotes, manage the purchasing process and spearhead the change-order process at a high level. This position will be responsible for coordinating with both Overwatch technical staff and customer technical staff to recommendations and implemented solutions continue to meet the business needs and maintain a constant awareness of upcoming changes in needs. The Director of Operations will work with many different small/medium businesses to continue to build relationships, understand their IT environment, and provide constant feedback & nurturing to ensure the best IT performance.

This position can be primarily work from home, but onsite visits to customers will be required

Director of Operations Job Responsibilities:

  • Explain complex technical information to clients in a way that’s easily understandable
  • Build & Maintain strong customer relationships on a professional and personal level
  • Oversee teams for on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Review internal & customer requests – design with the correct solutions & licenses
  • Work with third party vendors to procure IT parts and services
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Document processes
  • Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems
  • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers

Work Hours

Working hours will consist primarily Monday through Friday from 9AM through 5PM. Occasional weekend work may be needed. Occasional after hours (on call rate) may be needed. Work hours are very flexible and this position is a fairly low volume workload with great opportunities for paid, self growth and trainings.

This position is eligible for Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Profit Sharing and Company Bonuses, employer match 401(k) after successful completion of training, orientation and any time requirements as defined by our handbook.

Compensation: $110k-135k (DoE) + Profit Sharing + Bonuses

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

  • Associates degree in the business or technology field or equivalent experience
  • Creatively think and provide solutions under time constraints/other outside factors
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Minimum of 4 year of experience in a technical support and/or systems administration role
  • Extreme attention to Detail
  • Ability to be flexible and respond quickly to ever-changing environments/situations
  • Active Directory troubleshooting
  • Windows PC troubleshooting
  • Microsoft office
  • Microsoft office 365
  • Google apps/Gsuite
  • Willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with a ticketing system is a bonus
  • Must be a resident of the State of Michigan
  • Strong preference to candidates in West Michigan
